I have multiple reason to get out on the court. First, it's the best cardio exercise one can do. I enjoy the sportsmanship of the players I battle it out with. It's a sport that promotes an active lifestyle that can be done at any age.
One a personal note, dealing with depression for over a year, racquetball helps me to forget that I have that problem. I feel so alive before, during, and after I play. It's the best antidepressant out there and the most addicting. After I play, I want to play more and cant wait for the next time, even if its me and my Ipod praticing a few shots.
the thrill of victory is the best motivation on the court. no one works harder on the court than i do, so not winning is just a huge waste of time. my motivation comes from people always doubting me ever since i was young. No one expected me to be as good as i am, and now i am one of the more accomplished juniors that is playing the pro tour now. I always think back to a few things that i heard said about me and what some people said to me when i was a junior about how i would never make it to the top. so i gut it out on the court everytime to prove them wrong and to show people that I have more heart and guts than anyone that steps on a court with me. So when it comes to grinding, i have all the motivation i need......
